Grammar- Primary Language Lessons

Religion- Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism (No. 1), Child’s Bible History

Reading- Happy Little Family, Schoolhouse in the Woods, Schoolroom in the Parlor, Up and Down the River

Math- Saxon 3

Science- Seaside & Wayside Book 3, Keeping a Nature Journal (once a week)

Geography- Maps, Charts Graphs – Level B (once a week)

History- How Our Nation Began (once a week) plus these Revolutionary War picture books and DVDs.

 

Learning Together with the rest of the kids

Is this too much, am I missing something, or is there something else you would recommend? I would really like to have a Charlotte Mason style of learning, but I don't know how to do it. Please feel free to leave any advice in the comments section. I would really appreciate it. :-)

  • O Little Thérèse of the Child Jesus, please pick for me a rose from the heavenly gardens and send it to me as a message of love. O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God today to grant the favors I now place with confidence in your hands ….. Novena to Saint Joseph

  • Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. Spiritual Communion

  • O Jesus I turn toward the holy tabernacle where You live hidden for love of me. I love You, O my God. I cannot receive You in Holy Communion. Come nevertheless and visit me with Your grace. Come spiritually into my heart. Purify it. Sanctify it. Render it like unto Your own. Amen.

Prayer for another child

  • Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. Prayer for the beatification of Frank Duff

  • God our Father, You inspired your servant Frank Duff with a profound insight into the mystery of Your Church, the Body of Christ, and of the place of Mary the Mother of Jesus in this mystery. In his immense desire to share this insight with others and in filial dependence on Mary he formed her Legion to be a sign of her maternal love for the world and a means of enlisting all her children in the Church's evangelising work. We thank you Father for the graces conferred on him and for the benefits accruing to the Church from his courageous and shining faith. With confidence we beg You that through his intercession you grant the petition we lay before You . ...............
