  • My name is Ruth. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and moved to America with my family when I was eleven.
  • I am a Traditional Catholic homeschooling mother of seven precious miracles, ages 23-5 and praying for more. ;-) Will you pray for us?
  • Our oldest child and her husband just had their first baby and we are absolutely in love with him!
  • We live on a 1/2 acre mini farm, we have 18 hens and 2 bee hives.
  • We also have 8 fruit trees, an herb garden and a small organic fruit and vegetable garden in the back yard.

Manual Mode Monday 1/52

Just like Sarah at Amongst Lovely Things, I'm trying to learn how to use my manual mode on my Canon Rebel t2i Digital SLR camera. She is SO MUCH more advanced than I, but I hope with a lot of practice I'll be able to get better in time. This is my very first manual picture. I took about 15 pictures before finally getting one that wasn't too dark, blurry or just plain too bright. The picture was taken at night because that's how long it took me yesterday to figure out how to use my camera. Please feel free to leave comments with your advice, especially with the camera settings.

  • Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father.
