Our beautiful little grandbaby was finally born last night by c-section after a very long and difficult 36 hour labor. Adrianna and baby are doing well. Thanks be to God!

Tonight, while praying the family rosary our sweet little 4 year old Maria noticed some of us weren't bowing our heads at the name of Jesus and she immediately reminded us by saying, "Bow your head at Jesus."

My baby is four!
I can't believe how fast these past 4 years have gone by. It seems just like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital. I remember praying a novena to St. Therese to be able to have just one more baby (actually, I'm still praying for one more baby) and getting a rose from the most unexpected person- our mechanic who was handing out roses all week in honor of St. Valentine's day. St. Therese has always been your special intercessor, but so have the poor souls in purgatory. During one of my pre-natal visits my OB told me he wanted me to have an epidural since you were our seventh child and my previous 5 births were unmedicated. I told him that I was not going to have an epidural because I was going to offer up the labor for the souls in purgatory. Little did I know that you would be born 11 days early on the feast of All Souls. We love you so much, Maria Therese Rose! May Our Lady and St. Therese shower you with many graces.

Not at all how I thought it would be
but I have loved every minute of it. I thought a few days before Adrianna's wedding our house would be immaculate and in perfect order, ready for out of town guests, but instead there are reminders in every room and corner of the house of the beautiful day we're getting ready to celebrate.
Here are the center pieces for the tables.
2 electric roasters on our dining room table. 2 more will be delivered tonight since we are catering the reception ourselves.
The flowers that are taking up the other half of our dining table,
a very generous gift given to us by a very dear friend,
thank you gifts for the attendants, parents and helpers,
and reminders of all the food we will be cooking and serving.
I'm so glad we are doing everything ourselves. We are creating so many beautiful memories and I'm treasuring every second of it.

This is the way Maria sees it. She's a true contry girl at heart. I bought her a wooden nursery set for her doll house, but instead of using it as a changing table for her baby, she insists it's a chicken coop. Gotta love a 3 year old's imagination. lol
