  • My name is Ruth. I was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and moved to America with my family when I was eleven.
  • I am a Traditional Catholic homeschooling mother of seven precious miracles, ages 23-5 and praying for more. ;-) Will you pray for us?
  • Our oldest child and her husband just had their first baby and we are absolutely in love with him!
  • We live on a 1/2 acre mini farm, we have 18 hens and 2 bee hives.
  • We also have 8 fruit trees, an herb garden and a small organic fruit and vegetable garden in the back yard.

Afternoon quiet time

Friday afternoon I decided to take a nap with the baby and the little kids asked if they could make Rosaries during their quiet time. I was so thrilled that they finally showed an interest in my love for making Rosaries, so I let each of them look through my supply of beads. Kolbe made a beautiful green agate Rosary and Angela made part of a green moss agate Rosary. They did such a great job and I'm so proud of them for working so hard on the Rosaries. Now maybe the older kids can pick their own beads and make some Rosaries for themselves or to give as gifts. I'm sure Our Lady was very pleased.

I just listed a beautiful handmade Our Lady Of Sorrows chaplet on Ebay to benefit the Mitchell family fund. Her feast day is coming up on the 15th, and if you buy now, if would arrive by the 15th. There are only 3 days left on the auction.

Rosaries for Christmas

This year I decided to make everyone Rosaries for Christmas. I was able to find some beautiful beads at a local bead store a few days before Christmas. Unfortunately, that was the last day the bead store would be open. They moved to a new location a little over 30 minutes from my house. I'm not too happy about it, since I was able to go to the bead store during the baby's naptime. She doesn't like being in a vehicle and cries whenever we go out. I won't be going there anytime soon. Luckily, Adrianna's college is right around the corner, so she can always stop by and pick up some supplies on her way home if I need any. These pictures don't do the beads justice. They are absolutely beautiful! We keep our Rosaries hung on a wall in our prayer room.
