This is a picture of a craft the kids and I made for the feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary. I purchased the wooden letters form the craft store and we spay painted them gold and decorated them with ribbon and flowers.
There are so many variations of our lady's name, but I chose the Latin version Maria. It's also our baby girl's name, so it has extra special meaning to me. Here are a few other versions; Marie, Molly, Miriam, Mariel, Moira, Maureen, Marilyn, Mia, Marlene, Marla, Marissa, Marisol, Mariska, Marisela, Mariella, Maribel.
For dessert, I was hoping to make cookies spelling out Our Lady's name with ABC cookie cutters, but I wasn't able to find any at the craft store. This is what I came up with instead. There is one cookie for each of our children and for my husband and me. I think it worked out very well.
